About Me

Welcome! I am glad you stopped by!!! Have you ever wondered what it is like to live in a different country as a missionary? My desire is that this blog will be a blessing to you in your journey of life wherever it may take you as I share what I’ve learned!

Now for a bit about me … I became a full-time missionary in 2009 with my husband and four children. It brought me to live in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Through the years, I have learned much about culture, living outside the U.S. and enlarged my worldview. Married for thirty plus years, I am also a home-schooling, stay-at-home mom who has experienced life outside the states with children in tow. I experienced the heart-ache of separation from friends and family. I learned how to successfully send my children to boarding school for their high school years in hopes of preparing them for their future shift back to the USA. I have loved people of another culture fully. I was forced to discover ways to care medically for my family in a place where medical care wasn’t what we were used to. I figured out how to not only survive but thrive in a culture not my own.

My unique perspectives have taught me much which I desire to share with you. May the insights God has given me bless you as you also travel this beautiful world He has given us!
